About
What is AAMC Action?
Since 2014, the AAMC Action community of students, residents, researchers, faculty members, and physicians has been on call to protect the future of patient care and advocate for legislative priorities vital to the academic medicine community, to improve the health of all. Through policies that affect health care delivery, research, education, health equity, and more, the federal government is a key partner in sustaining the vitality of the nation’s medical schools, teaching hospitals, and health systems, and the lives of patients and communities they serve.
AAMC Action members have the opportunity to advocate governmental policies that ensure the nation has enough doctors, increase funding for life-changing medical research, help build a more diverse, culturally-competent medical workforce, and other critical priorities.
