What is AAMC Action?

Since 2014, the AAMC Action community of students, residents, researchers, faculty members, and physicians has been on call to improve the health of patients and communities and advocate for legislative priorities vital to the academic medicine community. Through policies that affect health care delivery, medical research, education, health equity, and more, the federal government is a key partner in sustaining the vitality of the nation’s medical schools, academic health systems, teaching hospitals, and the lives of patients and communities we serve.

AAMC Action members have the opportunity to advocate governmental policies that ensure the nation has enough doctors, increase funding for life-changing medical research, strengthen and diversify the health workforce, address long standing health inequities, and other critical priorities.
